Ashwagandha Leaf & Root Extract (Sensoril)

BotanicaladaptogenBranded: Sensoril (Natreon)Moderate dose evidence

Also known as: Sensoril, Withania somnifera leaf and root extract, Sensoril ashwagandha, aqueous ashwagandha extract

Add to a formula

A branded water-extracted ashwagandha made from both leaf and root and standardized to a minimum of 10% withanolide glycosides, which lets it work at a smaller dose than root-only extracts. It has been studied in healthy adults for cognitive and psychomotor performance and in recreationally active men for strength during a resistance-training program. Formulators reach for it when capsule space is tight or when a lower-milligram adaptogen is needed alongside other actives.

Research summary

Withanolide glycosides are thought to blunt stress-related cortisol output and support GABAergic tone, similar to root-only extracts but at a higher glycoside concentration.
