Ginkgo Biloba Extract

A leaf extract from the ginkgo tree standardized to flavone glycosides and terpene lactones, long used in memory and circulation formulas. The strongest evidence comes from trials of the EGb 761 extract at 240 mg per day in older adults with cognitive impairment; findings in healthy younger adults are mixed. It remains one of the most recognizable cognitive botanicals and is often included at lower amounts in multi-ingredient nootropic blends.
