Turmeric Root Powder

Botanicalanti-inflammatoryModerate dose evidence

Also known as: Curcuma longa, turmeric powder, haldi, ground turmeric

Add to a formula

The whole dried and ground rhizome of the turmeric plant, the same material used as a culinary spice. It contains only about 3% curcuminoids by weight, so gram-level servings are needed to deliver meaningful curcumin, and it is chosen for whole-food positioning, color, and flavor rather than potency. It suits powders, gummies, and food-style products where a standardized extract would feel out of place.

Research summary

Curcuminoids and turmeric essential oils are associated with modulation of inflammatory signaling pathways such as NF-kB, though absorption from raw powder is low.
